HIV and AIDS have had a devastating impact on the lives of people in Uganda and the world. One of the most common ways people get HIV in Uganda and by playing sex. To help prevent more people from getting HIV, and to help those who have HIV live healthy lives, we need to give young people tools to make good decisions.
More people have access to the Internet nowadays. CyberSenga takes advantage of this technology to bring honest and truthful information about HIV to young people.
If you are not from Uganda, you might be wondering about the name: CyberSenga. In some cultures in Uganda, the Senga was the father’s auntie. In older times, she was responsible for teaching the female adolescents about home life and how to be a good wife, including matters about sex. We try to give all young people access to their own Senga advisor with this program.
